Home
Where the day in AimRack starts, with a conversation with AimRack's assistant, plus summary pages for your tanks, accounts, deliveries and routes.
Home is the first page you see after signing in. The whole page is a conversation with AimRack's assistant: ask about your tanks, customers, deliveries and routes in plain words, and it answers from your company's records.
Open it from Home in the sidebar, or press g then h from anywhere in AimRack.
How to ask the assistant a question when you start the day
- Open Home. The page greets you for the time of day by your computer's clock: "Good morning." until noon, "Good afternoon." until 6 PM, and "Good evening." after that.
- Type your question in the box at the bottom and send it. To speak it instead, select the microphone in the box, talk, and select it again to stop.
- Or select one of the suggested questions under the box: What should I do first today?, Which accounts are worth a call? or How did last week's deliveries land? It is sent as your first message.
- The assistant's answer appears above the box. Keep asking follow-up questions in the same conversation, for example "Which of those tanks can tomorrow's routes reach?"
You can type a new question while the assistant is still answering; it takes the new question as soon as it can.
How to keep one conversation when you move between pages
The conversation you start on Home is the same one the chat panel shows on every other page. Nothing is lost when you open Tanks or Deliveries, and coming back to Home shows the conversation full width again.
- On any other page, press ⌘L on a Mac (Ctrl+L on Windows) to open or close the chat panel, and ⌘⇧L (Ctrl+Shift+L) to widen it across the page or set it back.
- Buttons such as See why, Audit and Resolve with AimRack on other pages open the panel and send a prepared question for you.
- New chat starts a fresh conversation, and History reopens an earlier one.
What the day's summary shows when you want the numbers at a glance
The page at the address /get-to-work puts the day's figures on one screen. Nothing in the sidebar links to it, so open it by typing the address or keep it as a bookmark. It greets you by your first name and company, for example "Here's Nelson Propane today.", then shows:
| Part | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Price strip | Propane spot, Rack and Diesel prices per gallon, and Degree days · 14d: heating degree days over the last 14 days, with the winter's peak day beside them. A dash means no price could be read. |
| Revenue · last 30d of data | Invoice totals for the 30 days ending on your newest invoice, with the change against the 30 days before. |
| AR at risk | The overdue balance across your accounts, and how many of your accounts are overdue. |
| Tank risk | How many tanks run dry within 7 days at their own burn rate, and how many tank monitors have gone dark. |
| Routes | The latest day that has route plans: how many routes and stops, and the gallons planned. |
| AimRack noticed | One observation at a time, with See why and Fix this today. The circular arrow under the card, Notice another, shows the next one. |
| Jump back in | The records you opened recently. Select one to open it again, or the × beside it to take it off the list. |
Each figure matches the page it summarizes, because it is read the same way: select a tile's label to open that page (Deliveries, Accounts, Tanks or Routes), or See why to have the assistant explain the number.
The AimRack noticed cards come from a fixed list of seven observations written about the demonstration company, such as "Cedar Bluff Grain Dryer is underwater". They are not worked out from your own records when the page opens, so treat them as examples of what to ask the assistant.
When your company is setting up with the Implementation Hub, a progress card shows how many phases are done and the next step, with Open to go there and a button to hide the card. When your company has not started and you can change company settings, an Implementation Hub card offers Enroll; see Get started.
How to see the day as tiles when you want to arrange them yourself
The Home dashboard, at the address /home-rg, draws the same records as tiles:
- Tanks dry within 7 days and Monitors offline, which open the Tanks dashboard.
- Gallons in the ticket window, which opens the Deliveries dashboard, and Overdue, which opens the Accounts dashboard.
- Needs a fill first: up to six tanks at low or critical reserve, or "No tank is inside the risk window."
- Top accounts, recent revenue: the six accounts with the most recent revenue.
- Recent deliveries: the eight newest tickets.
- Gallons, day by day: delivered gallons for each day of the ticket window.
See why on a tile asks the assistant about that number. Drag a tile to move it or resize it; your arrangement is remembered in this browser.
What the other home layouts are when someone sends you one
Six more layouts of the home exist, each drawing the same day's facts in a different way. Nothing in AimRack links to them; they open only by address.
| Address | What it shows |
|---|---|
/home-million-six | The newest route days drawn as a set of drafting sheets. |
/home-million-eight | The day's facts, the four tanks with the least gas left, setup steps, questions to ask, and one sentence about the heating weather from your degree days. |
/home-million-nine | The recent route days drawn on a drafting sheet, with a setup table beside it. |
/home-million-ten | What is waiting on a person (route plans not yet dispatched, tickets not yet posted), the latest delivery day's tickets, and questions to ask. Approve sends the assistant a message asking it to do it; the page itself changes nothing. |
/home-million-thirteen | The newest route day's run, the degree-day strip and questions to ask. |
/home-million-fourteen | Why each dark monitor is dark, the day's road miles along the planned route lines, and which of your connected systems AimRack reads and writes. |
